Our Website

We have built a website to provide more pictures with better quality. If you would like, follow this link http://snow.thomas.googlepages.com/home Please understand that it is a work in-progress :) It is much easier and much faster to upload pics via the Google Web Page creator tool. So we will be writing here and loading misc pics there. That is the plan anyway. We hope that everyone has had a very Merry Christmas - sorry we did not get to come home this year, but look forward to Christmas next year in Arkansas!

Cinderella and Pajama Master

Now Showing ~ Cinderella (Ana) and Pajama Master (Joe)

This clip will speak for itself :) Catching both kids when they are clean was a feat! The antics are a bonus :) Please disregard the "knocked-over" Camera Man - Director Mom noted that he is recovering fine and should be back to work next week - a real trooper, he kept filming right through to the end.

Merry Christmas!

THANKFUL

This thanksgiving has been wonderful
and full of trimmings. Thanks to everyone
who cooked and baked for us.

We grazed all day, played games, and hung out as a family. Kids even ventured outside in the cold and snuggled afterwards. As Uncle Jon would say " A Large time was had by all"... we think this picture is further proof of the recently discovered link between digestion of large quantities of turky meat and increased serotonin levels in the brain :)

Blessings

I came across this old digital photo recently - this was our first trip together; the picture was taken in the Channel close to the English coast (looking closely you can see the "white cliffs of Dover" in the background). Tish gets better looking every year, but she was a "hottie" in travel casual on that trip (packed for a 4 day trip in a backpack - pure "Tish packing") and my attention was on her more than the sights :)

This post would have been an ultrasound pic - sadly that will not happen. When I look at what we have, I can't be morose - our life together is rich and blessed. We have gained much together since this trip to England, a great many of those blessings have come in the past 2.5 years - we have settled down as a family; developed some wonderful, close friendships; reconnected with old friends; connected with a church (we don't have to PCS!) and are finally both working in jobs we enjoy. We have our families and wonderful, supportive people who are like family and who have been here for us in this loss and in previous rough times. So, while this is a loss, it is hard to be disappointed with the sum - we have more than I thought possible in any previous imaginings.

I want to say Thank You - to all of you for your prayers, concern and support...they have made a difference in this time and in those before...

And though this is our blog, this post is from me...and I want to thank the Lord for Tish. With His help, she turned a farm kid into a traveler, a soldier into a father, a loner into a friend. Along the way, she taught me how to laugh, how to love, how to pack and how to enjoy life for what it is - without perfection.

Thanks Babe.

Tate Farms

We had a great time at Tate Farms! This is a local, family owned farm that hosts tours in the Spring and Fall. We got to jump out of a hayloft into a haystack, pet lots of animals, shoot a pumpkin gun and eat great food. This was our first family trip to Tate Farms and the first outing with Belzon.

Florida

Tish, Joe and Ana hung out most of the late summer with Nana in Florida. Their day's were tough - breakfast, pool, lunch, naps, pool, supper, beach, sleep...rough life! Tom and Didi were able to visit a few weekends - great break to the hot weather in Alabama. On one visit we took a ride out into the Gulf with friends (movie clip). Joe and Ana really improved their swimming skills in the pool - Ana also learned to do a great imitation of a
"submerging submarine" . It went very well the first and (hopefully last) run through, but she isn't keen on doing it again. :)

4th of July

We had a great visit in Arkansas over the 4th of July! These are pics from a trip out to Uncle Jon & Aunt Pam's farm. Joe is showing off his cicada shell collection (after making a couple passes thru the dog door) and Ana really enjoyed the porch swing. We will miss our buddy Jake! We caught 40+ fish and rode the golf cart (sorry about those doors and the skid marks in the yard Uncle Jon) through the pasture. The kids think this is the way to do farming :)
