Yellow Belt

Joe has been doing TaeKwando for a little while now. He is getting pretty good and he had his first test and ceremony. He passed and earned his yellow belt. It was very exciting.

Don't try this at home!

After a fun party at the science center we decided to spend the day seeing if we could replicate any of the neat experiments. We failed but we were successful with one: mentos and diet coke explosion. Here is the peanut gallery and the mad scientist.

Joe's 5th birthday transformer style

We had a party with friends at Sci-Quest. (The local science center) It was all boys, except for a few sisters. :) It was complete with a transformer cake and ice cream
They had a "fire" demonstration with candles and fireworks. It was pretty cool. It ended with a big rocket flame. Ana was not as overtly impressed. We even learned how to make slime in 4 different colors and take it home!! Then we had a free time and tried out all sorts of activities.
It was a fun time with everyone.

Backyard renovations ?!?

On 12 April, we celebrated Joe's birthday. We had a great time visiting with family at Red Robin. He was excited with the balloons and ice cream sundae! We were going to celebrate at home with friends and family, but our backyard is currently torn up. Evidently we have a broken washer line. Thank goodness it is not anything more major. So, it seems we are the first in our area to test a new product for field lines and washer lines.

Camp out Adventure

Daddy got home early so we geared up for the camp out(backyard). This included pitching the tent and building a fire for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Can you say s'mores?!? TASTY!

We also found some critters to include a moth.

DID SOMEONE SAY RAIN?? Guess the weather forecast was a bit off!

Weed wars

With about 2 acres, we are constantly pulling weeds. Well, the kids have really made a sport of it- hence, weed wars. It seems to pass the time!

Spring Cleaning

We have had some great weather. It is nice to finally play outside.

Anastasia and Mommy were cleaning up inside while Joe was practicing for Taekwondo. Dad was fixing up the car.

Mawmaws' Ride

Tim, Marg and Kaleigh all came to pick up Mawmaw. We all had a great visit and Kaleigh wore out both Joe and Ana. Unfortunatley, on the way back to Pocahontas, AR, the family was met by the flooding.

Easter Visit

Mawmaw braved the Arkansas flooding to visit us for a few days. We had a great time showing off our many talents. We showed her how we swam, did Taekwando, and about anything else we could think of.

We dyed Easter eggs!!
