Assembly June 09

Joe had the privilege to speak at assembly once again. This time he read his seaside story. He spoke very well and used descriptive terms.

Legos and Trains

The kids had been playing outside in the heat. That is right, it was actually warm here, around 70F. So they took a much needed cool down break inside. Here is what they came up with.

Surrounding areas

While Mom was here visiting, we explored a lot of the small surrounding towns. We made it to Henley (where they have the regatta), Old Amersham, Beaconsfield, Taplow(where we crashed the Buddhist colony)... Mom has pics on her camera of that one.
Here is Henley as they gear up for the race.

We had a great visit with Mom and Dad. The day Mom left it poured and there was a tube strike causing MAJOR traffic delays. Ugh!

Mom's birthday

June 7th found Mom nearing the end of her visit. We celebrated by going to church, eating a turkey dinner and cake! The kids decorated with mango and strawberries. We had great celebration.

Hedgehog

The kids found a hedgehog in the backyard here and fondly named him "Hedgie." He stuck around for a few days and then left. Here are a few great pics of our new neighbor.
