Another snow day

Well, I just am not buying that it doesn't snow in this area. In fact, in the time of Queen Victoria, they had to drive her in a sleigh from end of Nov- February as there was such snow. Now, that I believe.

After our adventure, we played wii, read books and did crafts; the kids had cocoa and watched it snow outside, which it still is.....

Kensington High Street district

We ate, walked around Kensington High Street, visited St. Mary's Church and went to Kensington Park/ Palace. We saw the skating area that reminded us of Central Park. You also never know who you will see -- we saw recyclabot.
The kids were both exhausted and fell asleep on the way back. We had a great day.

The London Science Museum on New Year's Day

We headed into London to celebrate the new year. There were no crowds. It was great. The closer in we got, the more people we noticed on the tube, but there was not any of the regular pushing and shoving or hustle and bustle. The kids had a good day at the science museum, we explored most of the first and third floor. Did some of the interactive kids things, saw the Fly me to the Moon 3-D movie about flies who stowed on board the space ship headed for the moon. Anastasia actually made it through the entire movie. Wow. Joe thought it was great and was trying to grab flying bits.

Bringing in the New Year

We were invited to friends, but their heat was out, so we switched locations. George, Melissa, Mathias and Benjamin all came over bearing lasagna. They were not turned away! :)
We entertained ourselves with fireworks for about an hour, followed by Guitar Hero and a Nerf War. We all had a great time. The kids made it til about 10PM-- that has to be a new year somewhere, right?

The Snow Band

We got the reduced (too good to pass up) version of Wii Guitar Hero. So now, we are all practicing for our up and coming gigs! We should be visible in the near future.

Not to worry, we will only be preforming from the living room. Here are a few candids of us getting ready for the house tour!

Bouncy balls

Compliments of the Lowe family, the kids have had a blast with the bouncy balls. They even took every pillow in the house to make a soft obstacle course. Here are a few candids.
Here is even a short clip of them in action! (it starts out sideways but eventually goes normally.)

Final launch

They did a few launches, Joe's rocket did well. Anastasia's did well, too, but the parachute melted on upon re-entry. Oops.
