Uncle Eric came to visit during his work trip in Europe. We picked him up from the airport and our adventure started.
We showed him around our small village- Farnham Common. Visited the neighboring town of Taplow and hiked around Cliveden. http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-cliveden We had beautiful views of the Thames River, great weather and fabulous gardens. The guys convinced me to take the stroller with the kids, what was I thinking of not taking one?? A definite necessity!
We followed this trek by a short stop to the Burnham Beeches for ice cream. Headed back home for a bit of football in the garden (translation: soccer in the backyard).
We then walked into the village and ate at the Forrester. We had some great pub grub. Kids did well as we sat in the garden. Headed home for bed. Uncle Eric even told stories when we were kids - the washing machine hiding spot and the washing the hair in the toilet. Good times!! Cannot wait to see him and the family again.
